Reunion-Show auf dem Download Festival

Die britische Mathcore-/Prog-Ikonen SIKTH werden auf dem Download Festival 2014 (13. bis 15. Juni im Donington Park) eine Reunion-Show spielen. Das gab die Band gestern auf ihrer offiziellen Facebook-Seite bekannt.

Gitarrist Dan Weller ließ dazu Folgendes verlauten: „We’ve always said that one day we would get Sikth back together and do another show and next year just feels like the right time to stop the talking and do it. To be honest we really miss playing those songs. Our fans have been so loyal so it’s time to give them something back. We played Download in 2003 and 2006 so it seemed the obvious place for us to make a return.„

Im Mai 2008 hatten sich SIKTH im Zuge einiger Besetzungswechsel aufgelöst. Trotz nur zweier veröffentlichter Alben zählt die Band zu den wichtigsten Vertretern des experimentellen Metals.
