“Writing this was immensely difficult but at the same time therapeutic. Songwriting for me is a way to tackle the darkness. While this one is deeply personal, I think a lot of people will be able to take something from this and feel validated. Even down to the recording of this song, we created a dark space in the studio. It was just me alone with these lyrics I had written and finally a way to get them out in the way I had intended. It was like a weight had been lifted, screaming those first few lines out.”
