The Lost Weekend ohne Ben Calvert

Die Glücklichen unter euch, die auf The Lost Weekend waren, haben es vielleicht mitbekommen. Statt Ben Calvert saß Jay Micciche als Aushilfe hinter den Drums. Auch in Zukunft wird Ben nicht mehr die Sticks schwingen. Hier ein Kommentar von Mark Mynett:“A mutual parting of ways has resulted in Ben Calvert no longer being the drummer in Kill II This. The reasons for this are due to personal and professional differences between Ben and the rest of the band. Put very simply,there were just so many issues, that we eventually had to agree to disagree about,that it became obvious that it was in both Ben’s and the bands best interests to take separate paths. When I met with Ben last Thursday,during our conversation he stated that he wanted a complete change of lifestyle. I am completely unsure of his plans,but sincerely wish him all the best with his future. As for Kill II This, as anyone who watched us perform at the Lost Weekend will have seen,this has not affected our vision or passion for the band or our music in the slightest. It was one of our most enjoyable gigs ever. Ben’s temporary replacement for the evening was Jay Micciche from Vacant Stare who has commanded our utmost admiration and respect in learning our set in only one day. Kill II This have for a long time been huge fans of Vacant Stare,and have become very close friends of the band in the process. BUT I would like to point out that Jay has not joined Kill II This!! He was merely doing the band a HUGE favour and was only filling in for Ben,as he is strongly committed to his own band. We are now in the process of auditioning for Ben’s permanent replacement.“
